Bear Grylls is Wales’ Adventure Ambassador for 2016!

Bear Grylls is now the Adventure Ambassador, alongside Richard Parks for Wales 2016. We have some fantastic outdoor activities in Snowdonia available at our activity park, and the Bear Grylls Survival Academy is one of them and was designed by the man himself. A Welsh Government tourism campaign is currently set in place to promote Wales as the world’s ‘capital of adventure tourism’ and will be launched by the two adrenaline junkies themselves. On 9th April 2015, the deputy minister for culture, sport and tourism Ken Skates will be launching a series of themed years, which will begin with the Year of Adventure in 2016. This theme will then be followed by the Year of Legends 2017 and Year of the Sea in 2018. Mr Skates has promised to take part on a number of adventures throughout the year and said, “For the year of adventure in 2016 we’re going to work with partners to make sure that anyone who wants to can experience adventure in our fantastic landscapes and environment. Enjoy Your Easter With Dragon Raiders!

Easter is just around the corner and we have a great choice of outdoor activities in Snowdonia for all of the family to enjoy. First up is our popular Bear Grylls Survival Academy which offers participants an adventure and an experience you won’t get elsewhere. This survival challenge is a rare opportunity to learn Bear Gryll’s survival techniques, which includes a combination of obstacles around a course in our woodland area. The course will teach you how to make and build a fire, finding and eating wild foods whilst learning water purification techniques and then building a survival shelter. All participants will receive a Bear Grylls Survival Academy Certificate at the end of their challenge, providing you all with the perfect memoir of a fun and exhilarating day out with friends and family. Dragon Raiders Activity Park is based in North Wales in the beautiful woodlands for all to enjoy. We have over 10 years’ experience working with schools and young people, making us the perfect people to arrange your school activity days in North Wales. We offer a range of activities that are both fun and educational, plus they can be tailored to suit your specific requirements. Our three main activities are: Bear Grylls Survival Academy Adventure Day Challenge | This is an opportunity to be able to spend the day learning Bear Gryll’s extreme survival techniques. This is combined with adventure tasks set by Bear and his team and then incorporated into exhilarating and fun fuelled challenges. An obstacle course is set up for later on in the day, once the whole team have mastered the core survival skills. Following the success of the 24hr family courses, the team is now offering lucky adventurers from across the UK a rare chance to learn Bear’s extreme survival techniques and the opportunity to take on challenges as part of a taster half day experience learning new skills in the outdoors and staying active. Bear Grylls will be attending the launch to teach participants his tips and techniques to survive in the wild.
