Course Content
Come and experience the thrill and excitement of this 2 day Snowdonia X2 Challenge survival course.
If the weather conditions allow,you will be picked up and taken via helicopter and dropped off into Snowdonia, North Wales. Here you will earn your stripes and fight for survival in your first challenge to find your food rations for the 2 day experience. Don’t find them and you’re in trouble! This experience will take you through a set of mind blowing deep forest challenges to include the night vision goggle extreme, face down valley rappelling and escape river canyon.
This course will teach you some of Bear’s unique survival skills and techniques and it is designed to put participants to the ultimate test.

- Helicopter pick up and drop off
- Night vision goggles for wilderness stalking challenge
- Rope skills – face down valley rappelling and river tyrolean traverse
- Utilising metal detectors , axe throwing and rifle shooting
- Setting snares & traps and water purification techniques
- Handling and preparing edible wild food to include fish and rabbit
- Dynamic river crossings and self rescue techniques
- Survival fire lighting and shelter building
- Foraging for wild foods and utilising flints for cutting techniques

Arrive onsite 9:00am for a 09.30am start. Course finishes at approximately 5.00pm the following day.
All meals and accommodation are included and a large amount of equipment is on loan for the duration of the course including: Knife, mug, sleeping bag and liner, sleeping mat, rucksack and liner, head torch, water bottle and all technical safety equipment. This means you do not need to bring any of the heavy stuff with you!

Health & Fitness
As you would expect, the Bear Grylls Survival Academy is challenging both mentally and physically.
In order to get the most out of the course, applicants should be fit and healthy.
Ask yourself these questions:

- Do I have a good level of fitness?
- Am I determined?
Participants should have a good level of fitness and be healthy in order to participate in the course.
Please note you will be required to disclose to us any pre-existing medical conditions prior to the course. If you fail to do so and we have concerns about your fitness levels we reserve the right to refuse you a place on the course and no refund shall be given.

All participants must bring:
Good quality mountain walking boots
Good quality water proof trousers and jacket
1 spare change of full clothing to go into rucksack provided by us to take on course (including socks)
1 Spare change of full clothing in a separate bag to include footwear and towel (for the end of the course)
Good quality thermal hat and gloves
Small bag of slow release energy snacks e.g flapjacks, nuts and raisins
Bags full of positive attitude
On completion of the course, participants will receive a Bear Grylls Survival Academy badge and certificate
